Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Louise earned both a bachelor’s degree in Administration of Justice and an associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies from Wichita State University. She began working in financial services in 2000 following a 20 year career in the legal field where she worked as a paralegal then managed a 55-person law firm. She is a registered sales assistant with Raymond James, having obtained her Series 7 and Series 63 licenses in 2002 and later obtaining the Wealth Management Specialist (WMS) designation.
A lifelong member of St. James Episcopal Church, Louise has served there as senior warden (lay leader of the congregation), as junior warden in charge of buildings and grounds, as a board member of the St. James Trust, and as chair of the stewardship committee. She has also been a director for various charitable and professional organizations. Louise and her husband, Gene Carr, are active in live theatre productions and enjoy working on home renovations, travelling, attending events where they resell vintage collectables, and following Wichita State University basketball.
